We saw and heard this musician playing on the street in Vancouver. Even this bird caught the rhythm and had to try out a few fancy steps.

Waves of Steel
Seeing this gull land on a rooftop on Granville Island, B.C. made me wonder if from a bird’s eye view, the corrugated steel roof may have looked like the inviting ripples of an ocean bay. Does this imply that he was gull-ible? After a hard landing and no gentle motion of the water to greet it, the bird would welcome a retreat to the foggy skies above.

Models come in all shapes and sizes. Definitely worth waiting for. These delicate flowers have been slowly developing while everything else went crazy in my flower bed this year. The sketch doesn’t do them justice but I wouldn’t change a thing. This quick little study reminds me to take time and ‘sketch’ the flowers. Done on one of the few really nice days, we’ve had in a loonngggg time after I had finished up weeding and sat down in the shade. Nice memory.
